Company policies and protection plans
The terms we work by, in plain language, so there are no surprises on move day.
Booking and deposit
A signed estimate, agreement to our company policy, and a $100 non-refundable deposit book your date. Estimates are emailed and texted to you, usually the same day.
If something about the job changes before move day, such as more belongings than we saw, added stops, added packing, or different access, tell us and we'll update the estimate. We don't add hidden fees.
Drive time
We charge for drive time. The clock starts when the crew leaves our location, and the drive back to our location is billed too.
GPS does the measuring. The crew logs the time they leave, GPS records how long it took to reach you, and when the job is done they log the finish and GPS calculates the drive back to our location.
Equipment on labor-only jobs
On labor-only jobs you provide the truck, trailer, or container. For loading jobs you also provide the furniture pads and the rope or straps that secure the load, since they travel with the vehicle. Our crew brings dollies and tools.
On a full-service local move, the truck, dollies, straps, shrink wrap, moving blankets, floor runners, and door jamb protectors are all included.
Protection plans
Federal law requires licensed moving companies to provide a minimum coverage of 60 cents per pound. We know you will likely want more coverage than this. In the rare event of damage to an item, we encourage you to speak with your homeowners or renters insurance provider, as many policies cover you during your move. You may also purchase additional coverage from the selections below.
Trinity Movers will repair damaged items to their condition prior to the move. In the event this is not feasible, we will offer cash value or replacement at current depreciated value.
| Plan | Deductible | Limit | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Full Value Replacement | $250 | $2,500 | $75 |
| Full Value Replacement | $250 | $5,000 | $150 |
| Full Value Replacement | $250 | $7,500 | $225 |
| Full Value Replacement | $250 | $10,000 | $300 |
If you would like to change the protection plan shown on your estimate, contact your Trinity Movers representative. Any changes must be made before your move starts.
Your rights when you move in Texas
The Texas Department of Motor Vehicles publishes a consumer guide to your rights and responsibilities when you hire a mover in Texas. We make it available here, and we'd rather you read it before you book.
