Local Moving
Across town or one town over, our crew loads, protects, hauls, and sets up your home so you can sleep in your own bed that night.
Local Moving
Trinity offers gentle, respectful service tailored to seniors who are downsizing or transitioning to assisted living. We provide patient help for retirement moves and for simplifying into a smaller space.
In practice, that means patience and extra care with the pieces that carry memories. And it means the same trained Trinity movers from start to finish. We don't use temp labor, so you and your family know who's in the house.
Downsizing from a family home into a smaller house, a condo, or an apartment. Transitions into assisted living or a retirement community, where only some of the furniture is coming along. Moves to be closer to children and grandchildren, across town or across Texas.
We also help when nobody is changing addresses at all. Our crew can rearrange furniture within a home, such as moving a bedroom downstairs so the stairs are no longer part of daily life.
If some belongings need to be stored while the family decides what to do with them, ask us about storage along with your estimate.
Most downsizing moves are partial moves. A new apartment might fit the bed, a favorite chair, the dining table, and the artwork, and not much more. It helps to get the floor plan or room measurements for the new place early, and to decide what's going before move day rather than during it.
A simple system works well: colored stickers or tape for what's moving, what's going to family, and what's staying for donation or an estate sale. Our crew can then load exactly what's marked.
At the new home, we place furniture where you want it and reassemble the bed, so the first night is comfortable.
Packing is the hardest part of a move for many seniors, physically and otherwise. We offer full-home, partial, and fragile-only packing. China, mirrors, heirlooms, and antiques are wrapped by our trained packers, and every box is labeled by room and contents.
We can help with unpacking too, so the kitchen is usable and the essentials are in reach on day one.
Many of these moves are organized by a son or daughter who lives somewhere else. Our video estimates make that much easier. We text a link, and whoever is at the house, whether that's you on a visit, a sibling, or a neighbor, can walk through with a phone, live or recorded. You don't need to fly in for an estimate.
Tell us about access at the new community as well. Many have set move-in hours, a specific entrance for movers, or an elevator to reserve.
Moves into a senior living community are our lowest hourly rate: $175 an hour for a three-person crew. We also offer a senior discount on other moves. Ask about both when you request your estimate.
Our pricing page explains how local moves, long-distance moves, and packing are each quoted, and your estimate will confirm what applies to you.

Yes. Partial moves are very common when downsizing. Mark what's going and we'll load exactly that.
Yes. We can text a video walkthrough link to whoever can be at the house, and they can do it live with us or record it. We'll prepare the estimate from the video and go over it with you by phone.
The three questions we ask on every move
Your belongings, your home, and our crew all finish the day in one piece. Furniture is padded and wrapped before it moves, and nobody rushes a heavy piece down a staircase.
Everything is worked out before we arrive, so when the truck pulls up we can just get to work. Moving day shouldn't be the day the planning happens.
Our crew puts themselves in your shoes. Polite, in uniform, and thinking ahead for you on one of the more stressful days of your life.
Call (830) 837-4628 and tell us about the situation. We'll take it at the pace that's right for them.
