Moving and storage in New Braunfels

In a perfect world you'd move out in the morning and into the new place that afternoon. In the real one, closings slip, builders run late, and leases end on the wrong day.

Storage from Trinity

Trinity stores your belongings in our own storage vaults, short-term while you're between homes or longer-term when you need the space. Storage runs $30 to $60 a month per vault, depending on how much you have, and if you don't fill a vault we'll work with you on the price.

Because the same crew moves you and loads your vault, there's one plan and one number to call. Your things are padded and wrapped before they go in, and they're ready to load when it's time to deliver.

When storage makes sense

The most common reason is a gap between homes. Your sale closes on the 15th and your purchase closes on the 30th. Your new build is three weeks behind. Your lease is up and the next apartment isn't ready.

Storage also helps when you're downsizing and need time to decide what to keep, when you're staging a house to sell and want it decluttered, when you're renovating and need rooms emptied, or when a job or military transfer means leaving before you know your next address.

Some customers use it seasonally. If your holiday furniture or patio set lives in storage most of the year, we'll bring it to the house when you want it and take it back when you're done.

Questions we'll answer on your estimate

Your belongings are stored in Trinity's own vaults. When you call, ask us about how long you'll need it, how much notice we need to schedule delivery, and how access works if you need something back early.

Think about access before anything goes in, too. If there are things you might need while the rest is stored, such as seasonal clothes, school records, or tools for the new house, set them aside or mark those boxes clearly and tell us, so they don't end up at the very back.

It helps if you can tell us roughly how much you're storing and for how long. A video walkthrough makes that easy, since we can see the volume for ourselves.

Already have a storage unit?

If you're renting your own self-storage unit, we can still do the heavy part. We handle storage unit load-ins and load-outs, both as part of a full-service move and as labor-only help. We load units tightly and carefully to make the most of the space and protect what's inside.

Moving containers work the same way. If you're using PODS, U-Pack, or a similar service, our crew can load it so that things don't shift in transit.

Getting things ready for storage

This is general guidance that applies wherever your things are stored.

Clean and fully dry appliances, and leave refrigerator and washer doors propped open. Use sturdy boxes of similar sizes so they stack safely, and label every box on the side, not just the top.

Don't store anything perishable, flammable, or hazardous. Keep anything you'll need in the next few weeks with you.

If you'd rather not do it yourself, our packing service can box everything up properly before it goes into storage.

How storage fits into your move

Storage is usually one part of a larger move. Tell us your dates, even if they're uncertain, and we'll plan around them. If the dates change, which they often do, call us and we'll do everything we can to adjust.

FAQ

Do you offer both short-term and long-term storage?

Yes. Trinity offers short-term storage during a move and long-term options for extra space. Ask about it when you request your estimate.

How much does storage cost?

Storage runs $30 to $60 a month per vault, depending on how much you store. If you don't fill a vault, we'll work with you on the price, and we'll confirm it with your estimate.

Can you load or unload my own storage unit?

Yes. Storage unit load-ins and load-outs are available as part of a move or as labor-only help, which is billed hourly with a minimum.

The three questions we ask on every move

Safe

Your belongings, your home, and our crew all finish the day in one piece. Furniture is padded and wrapped before it moves, and nobody rushes a heavy piece down a staircase.

Efficient

Everything is worked out before we arrive, so when the truck pulls up we can just get to work. Moving day shouldn't be the day the planning happens.

Courteous

Our crew puts themselves in your shoes. Polite, in uniform, and thinking ahead for you on one of the more stressful days of your life.

Dates not lining up?

Tell us roughly how much you need stored and for how long, and we'll build storage into your move estimate.
